Windsor's housing stock is overwhelmingly older than most of Berkshire, Georgian and Victorian townhouses, conservation-area streets, Listed cottages. We work in the right products and the right techniques for the era, not modern shortcuts.

More of Windsor's housing is in conservation areas, Listed, or genuinely period than anywhere else we serve. That changes what products are appropriate, how prep is done, and whether the conservation officer needs to be involved.
We cover the whole of SL4: central Windsor, Old Windsor, Eton, Dedworth, Clewer, Spital, Datchet, Wraysbury and the surrounding villages. The mix is dominated by Georgian and early-Victorian terraces in the town centre, larger Victorian and Edwardian villas in Clewer and the river roads, post-war semis in Dedworth, and the older village cottages in Old Windsor and Datchet.
Most of our Windsor commissions involve some element of period work. That can be as straightforward as repainting a Victorian sash window in the right exterior eggshell, or as involved as repairing surviving Edwardian cornice and matching missing sections from cast moulds. The common thread is that modern plastic coatings and one-size emulsions are usually wrong for these properties, they trap moisture and create as many problems as they solve.
We're comfortable working in conservation areas, taking the time to use traditional limewash on stone and brick where breathability matters, and using shellac, traditional stains and proper hand-cut mitres on cornice. Where conservation officer approval is needed we're happy to work with the consent.
Every service is delivered across Windsor with heritage-appropriate products and techniques where the property calls for it.

Limewash, breathable mineral coatings, shellac, traditional oils, and hand-cut mitred cornice: products that suit period property, not modern alternatives that fail in twelve months.
Central Windsor sees heavy tourist traffic. We co-ordinate scaffold, parking and skip licences with the Royal Borough so the job doesn't disrupt your neighbours or the surrounding streets.
Our base in Bracknell is 25 minutes from central Windsor. Site visits and emergency response are straightforward.
Most pre-1920 Windsor homes are solid-wall, not cavity. They need breathable interior and exterior products to let moisture move outward, modern plastic masonry coatings will trap damp inside the wall and cause spalling within years.
Original sashes are common across central Windsor and Eton. Painting them shut with modern gloss is permanent damage. We strip, sand, prime and finish with the right exterior eggshell, and keep them moving.
Riverside properties in Datchet and Wraysbury sit in flood-risk zones. Below-DPC areas need anti-condensation and mould-resistant products as a baseline, with realistic advice about what paint can and can't fix.
Many Listed Windsor interiors have surviving cornice, ceiling roses and panelling under six layers of paint. Where appropriate we strip back to reveal the detail rather than burying it further.
One-hour home visit, written fixed-price quote within 24 hours. No day-rates, no surprises.
Floors fully dust-sheeted, furniture moved and wrapped, filling and sanding completed before any topcoat.
Edges cut by hand, walls rolled wet-on-wet, woodwork keyed and undercoated. Drying times respected.
Second coats applied, woodwork built up in thin even passes with inter-coat denibbing for an even sheen.
Walk every room in raking daylight, snag anything you spot, hand over a written record of products used.
